Some of the objectives can include any or all of the following:
* Engagement
Employee
engagement is a recognised force that drives business outcomes;
improves productivity, staff are more customer focused, and less likely
to leave the organisation. The most successful organisations have
developed an engagement strategy and linked this to achievement of
corporate goals.
This work is the foundation on which to build
the platform to enable staff members at all levels to engage with the
organisation’s objectives, to develop a culture of applying that
additional, discretionary effort towards simply achieving more.
* Leadership
Managers
firstly need to recognise that employee engagement is not capable of
being applied or enforced. An organisation does not engage its
employees ……….. Each individual must engage with the organisation
through deliberate choice.
What comes out of this is the clear
necessity for leadership and communication in the form of feedback –
the awareness of recognition. Coaching is a prerequisite rather than a
soft option or a luxury at this time. People cannot be expected to
simply toe the line or accept management edicts; if success is expected
to bloom, then coaching is necessary to find what inspires at an
individual level and to develop the belief that they can truly make a
difference and it WILL be recognised.
* Counselling
Employee
morale issues. By addressing concerns, questions and anticipating
employees’ fears, coaches can help improve morale during difficult
transition times. Building the relationship with employees can also
help in this area, as employees will feel more comfortable voicing
their concerns through the trust developed and the good working
relationship with the coach. This frequently includes issues that are
completely unrelated to work but nevertheless affecting work
performance.
* Outplacement
People at risk gain an outside
person they can rely on. All meetings are confidential and employees
get to know we are there for them and that they will gain professional
career counselling.
From a practical perspective the candidate
will receive individual, confidential ‘one on one sessions’ covering CV
preparation, positive knowledge retention, speculative campaigns and
provide access to relevant successful sample CVs. This covers the needs
of each individual, including, where appropriate, topics from starting
your own business to portfolio working together with advice on making
the internet work for you through networking and job search web sites.
* Outplacement (Survivor Guilt)
Using
the Outplacement for those close to affected people, means those
staying in employment with you can carry on working efficiently from
one year to the next; while it enables those moving on to new
opportunities to embrace changed career paths or explore new projects
which will further develop their skills and ability.
Through coaching those left behind we reduce absenteeism dramatically
and reassure key workers who might be considering a move.
